Thanksgiving is chock-full of traditional recipes and homemade (or semi-homemade) dishes prepared by families and friends, near and far. For instance, who doesn’t love Grandma’s baked apple pie and killer green bean casserole? Or how about the sweet neighbor’s sage cornbread stuffing and old-school cranberry sauce? And let’s not forget the perfect turkey–moist and delicious at every bite! Tradition or not, the idea of planning a menu, assigning potluck dishes or just preparing a turkey that everyone enjoys can be downright intimidating. And what better way to celebrate than by having someone else do all of the (turkey)-leg work including all of the clean up afterwards?

Behold! We want to make Thanksgiving easy-peasy for everyone this year. So, we’ve come up with our 2019 Marina del Rey Thanksgiving guide. Make reservations as soon as possible. For those dining with kids, we’re happy to report that most of the restaurants in Marina del Rey are kid-friendly. Quarreling aunties? That’s a different story, though proper seating arrangements can definitely solve that problem.

And after your Marina del Rey Thanksgiving feast, spend some time with family and friends enjoying Marina del Rey. Sometimes, Los Angeles can get quiet during the holiday season which is a perfect time to explore the area! Take a leisurely stroll through Burton Chace Park or the Marina Promenade. Let kids play at Marina “Mother’s” Beach playground. Or rent some bikes and explore our neighbors Venice and Santa Monica on the Marvin Braude Bike Trail.
