Where to View Fireworks in Marina del Rey

Where to view fireworks in Marina del Rey? We’ve got a complete list of where to watch throughout the Marina including neighboring areas. 


  1. The annual New Year’s Eve fireworks are two ten-minute shows held at 9 p.m. and midnight. 
  2. Walk, bike or skate to the public viewing spots to avoid getting caught in traffic. 
  3. Burton Chace Park is closed to the public on New Year’s Eve. 
  4. Plan to come earlier in the day to avoid any traffic delays and congestion in the parking lots. Click here to view a map of Los Angeles County parking lots in the Marina.
  5. After 4 p.m., the County parking lots in the Marina will implement a special event rate of $20 per vehicle. 
  6. Road closure: Mindanao Way (west of Admiralty Way) will be closed to westbound traffic from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.  Fiji Way (east bound; no left turn access onto Admiralty Way) from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Admiralty Way (north bound; no left turn access onto Mindanao Way) from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Along the North Jetty

Google Aubrey E. Austin Jr. Park in Marina del Rey and you'll find a narrow promenade with a paved path along the North Jetty. Limited metered parking is available along Via Marina at Pacific Avenue. L.A. County Parking Lot #13 at 4601 Via Marina has additional spaces.

The Marina Peninsula is the beach located between Venice Pier and the Marina del Rey channel. Walk toward the north entrance of the Marina del Rey channel and you'll have prime viewing spots for the fireworks.
