FUN & FREE EVENTS IN & AROUND MDR

  • The annual Killer Rides car show kicks off at 10 a.m. on Sunday, June 26 in the parking lot of Killer Shrimp. This family-friendly event features a chance to check out beautiful hot rods, exotics, bikes and muscle cars! Click here for more information.
  • Bring the fam bam to enjoy a free movie night at Jamaica Bay Inn featuring Luca (G). Bring your own low chairs or blankets and buy dinner and drinks at Beachside Restaurant & Bar. Click here for more information.
  • Feeling like hearing live music? Head to Fisherman’s Village for to hear R&B tunes from Blue Breeze on Sunday, 2-5 p.m. 
  • Over at Santa Monica Pier, check out the US Open of SUP (Paddlesurf World Tour Event) on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 & 26. The City Paddle Festival will feature live music, entertainment and opportunities to watch the pros and amateurs on the water. 

 

EAT & DRINK BY THE SEA 

  • Grab food truck fare on Thursday at Beach Eats located on Via Marina and Panay Way. Check out this week’s lineup here. Or try the Marina del Rey Farmers Market on Saturday for locally grown fruits, vegetables and gourmet foods. 
  • Digging a pool party scene? Marina del Rey’s Sunday Boathouse is bringing all the summer lovin’ vibes with a live DJ and outdoor bar, 12-6 p.m. every Sunday. No cover for hotel guests; $15 for the public (21 and over).  
  • The perfect summer weather calls for a champagne brunch cruise with views of the Los Angeles coastline. Choose from a brunch or dinner cruise on a luxe yacht every Saturday and Sunday at Fisherman’s Village with City Cruises

RIDE THE WATERBUS

Hop on a scenic ride around the Marina for just $1 per person on the Marina WaterBus. With stops at eight locations, you can plan a fun afternoon in the harbor without ever getting in your car. Some fun things to do before or after at the WaterBus locations include:  

 

CATCH LIVE MUSIC  

If you’re looking to groove, dance or sip on cocktails while bobbing your head to nice tunes, then you’re sure to enjoy Marina del Rey’s live music scene. 

  • Every Friday, The Warehouse offers salsa bachata dance lessons at 9 p.m. with open dance floor from 10 p.m. to close. Click here for more details. 
  • On Fridays and Saturdays, find upbeat music from live DJ entertainment at Brizo Bar & Restaurant
  • Unwind with live music at Sinder on Friday nights. 
  • Enjoy music from live bands at Killer Yacht Club on Friday and Saturday evenings; The Warehouse also offers live band entertainment on Saturday evenings.
