PLANTA Cocina Opens Marina del Rey Location

WELCOME PLANTA TO L.A.’S MARINA!

Located along the waterfront at Boardwalk MDR Shops, PLANTA bring its innovative plant-based cuisine to Los Angeles with the opening of PLANTA Cocina, its first West Coast location in Marina del Rey. MDR locals and visitors alike can enjoy pan-Latin inspired dishes like croquetas, tostadas, tacos, queso fundido, and more. The beautifully designed space is warm and inviting welcoming guests to enjoy tasty dishes such a Ahi Watermelon Tacos, Oaxacan Stone Pizza, or Avocado Lime Tartare. Make room for dessert like Churros & ‘Chata (horchata ice cream and chocolate fudge sauce) or quench your thirst with a sip from their impressive beverage lineup, which boasts a fun mix of wines, beers, and cocktails. Get ready to sip on concoctions like the whimsically named Herb Your Enthusiasm (Thai chili-infused tequila, lime, pineapple, mint and Thai basil) or the catchy Mez-Cal Me Maybe (mezcal, ginger liqueur, passionfruit, and lime). Expect them to also introduce a brand new Robata section and ceviches. The restaurant plans to use ingredients from local farmers markets.

PLANTA’s first restaurant opened in Toronto in 2016 to much success, and since then, additional restaurants opened in other cities including New York, D.C., Bethesda, Chicago and four locations in Florida. The fan-favorite plant-based restaurant group was founded in 2016 by CEO Steven Salm and and Executive Chef David Lee. PLANTA Cocina reimagines and reinvents plant-based dining, providing flavorful (and fun) proof that the power of plants can change the world.
