Is pickleball easy to learn?

Yes, it’s easy to learn. Pickleball is a fun and invigorating sport for all levels and ages…in just a couple lessons you'll be up to speed and ready to go.

Do I need to bring my own pickleball paddle?

At the Marina Racquet Club, we have pickleball paddles for anyone taking a lesson.

What makes pickleball a good workout?

Pickleball is a fast-paced, energetic game. The constant movement engages the body and the mind. And, when you meet fellow players...it engages your soul.

Why do you think pickleball has become a popular sport?

First off, the barrier of entry is lower than tennis or golf as it’s not quite as technical. Players pick it up quickly and become addicted. And, because of the smaller court and the need for 4 players, social camaraderie is more accessible than on a large tennis court. You quickly create bonds with your partner and opponents and begin to build a community, especially as many people are still seeking that community post-pandemic. Whats even better is that pickleball can be played by athletes of all ages.

Is pickleball a fun team bonding activity?

We host many companies and groups for team building play. Because it’s less technical than other sports, even “non-athletes” within a group feel comfortable joining in. We’ve seen usually reserved people come alive on the court and really engage with their team members!
