Winter Menu Favorites
Even though our Los Angeles weather is rather agreeable compared to snowy climes this month, there are days when something warm in the belly hits the right note. Here are five picks from Marina del Rey restaurants that are sure to keep the chill at bay with the winter menu favorites.
Cafe del Rey’s French Onion Soup
This waterfront restaurant debuted several new menu items in early January, this plate being one. Cup your hands around the toasty crock of French onion soup, flavored with madeira wine and topped with crostini and brûléed Gruyère. Order it as a starter, or make it a meal with the entree version (lunch only) that includes a gussied-up grilled cheese: roasted apples, caramelized onions, and brie.
