Maiden Arrives in L.A.

Welcome Maiden to Marina del Rey! Maiden gained international attention as the first yacht to be sailed around the world by an all-female crew when the yacht raced against all odds in the 1989/90 ​Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race. The iconic yacht was featured in the Sony Pictures Classics’ doc, MAIDEN. Go to Burton Chace Park, Fisherman’s Village or along the promenade near Marina del Rey Hotel to get a view of the Maiden arriving in the Marina around 2 p.m.  The public will have a chance to see Maiden, meet the crew and tour the yacht on Sept. 14 (California Yacht Club). Free.
