ANNUAL KAHANAMOKU KLASSIC

Kayaks lined up together

The Southern California Outrigger Racing Association hosts this canoe event on the first Saturday of June. This outrigger canoe race draws more than 2,000 participants from all throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Hawaii and Tahiti. Watch departures at Marina “Mother’s” Beach or view the teams paddling the main channel en route to the ocean course. 

New Year’s Eve Fireworks 2022

4th of July fireworks

Head to Fisherman’s Village, Burton Chace Park or anywhere near the South Jetty to enjoy the annual fireworks display.  Count down to the New Year with fireworks at 8:59 p.m. and again at 11:59 p.m. Plus, the family-friendly Glow Party returns to Burton Chace Park, 7 p.m. – 12 a.m. Free admission.
