AdventureSail, Youth Sailing Class

The Women’s Sailing Association of Santa Monica Bay, in partnership with the National Women’s Sailing Association, brings the free AdventureSail program to Marina del Rey on Sunday, September 27.

Designed for girls ages 9–14, this hands-on day introduces participants to the basics of sailing while building confidence, connection and comfort on the water. Young sailors will learn knot tying, boat parts and points of sail before heading out for an on-the-water sailing experience led by experienced instructors and professional captains.

Lunch is included. Each participant will also receive a backpack and a $500 scholarship toward future sailing lessons and opportunities.

AdventureSail is part of a national initiative that helps make sailing more accessible to young girls and encourages the next generation of leaders on the water.
