C&O CUCINA
C&O opened in 1969 as the Cheese & Olive, a Greek deli a few doors from the Venice Pier. In 1992, the Singer family adopted the “family-style Italian” concept enjoyed today. A second location opened in 2003 in the famous old “Black Whale” building at 3016 Washington Blvd.
Welcoming, friendly, generous, homey, lighthearted, unpretentious, neighborhood joint: these are the words often used to describe C&O Cucina. Singer says, “We are proud to be the untrendy spot in Venice that has stood the test of time. We are casual, offer great value with generous portions, and our famous "killer garlic rolls," baked fresh every 15 minutes and served to pipe hot at your tableside.
The Singer family has run many famous LA restaurants since the 1940s: The Italian Kitchen, Pig and Whistle, Italian Grill, and Schwabs Deli, to name a few. They also operated restaurants in Chicago in the 1920s and 1930s.
Stop by The Rat Pack Martini Bar to watch your favorite L.A. teams, while grabbing dinner or enjoying Happy Hour food and drinks.
Whether you are hosting an intimate private dinner in our upstairs loft or want to dine with a large group of family and friends on one of our lively outdoor patios, C&O can accommodate all of your needs.
