Getting There, Parking & Accessibility
Due to the popularity of the July 4th Fireworks Show, expect heavy traffic delays on the roads surrounding the Marina del Rey area, especially just before and immediately after the fireworks show (9:00 PM – 9:20 PM).
Public lots throughout the Marina, Venice, and Dockweiler are open 24 hours, charging holiday rates between $11–$20. Arrive early-lots fill up quickly, often by 6 p.m. Accessible parking is available in all public lots.
Public Transportation:
Take the LA Metro's C Line (formerly Green Line) to the Marina del Rey Station and catch the Culver City Bus #1 to the Marina.
Accessibility:
Burton Chace Park and Fisherman's Village are fully accessible, with wheelchair-friendly pathways, viewing areas, and restroom facilities. Accessible parking spaces are available in all public lots.
Rideshare: If you’re using rideshare services like Lyft or Uber on July 4th, please expect longer wait times because of heavy traffic and street closures in Marina del Rey. For safety, rideshare drivers should not stop or park illegally to pick up or drop off passengers. Plan ahead and be ready to walk a short distance to or from your rideshare spot.
