Every Friday evening in September, immerse yourself in the lively spirit of Marina del Rey at Dance MDR, where the waterfront at Burton Chace Park transforms into an open-air dance floor. Presented by the LA County Department of Beaches and Harbors, this festive series welcomes both locals and visitors to dance under the stars with panoramic harbor views as your backdrop.

What to Expect:

• Each week features a different dance style—one night you might master the rhythms of salsa or merengue, while another evening brings the flair of swing, the elegance of ballroom, or the infectious energy of hip-hop and line dancing
• Whether you’re an experienced dancer eager to refine your moves or simply looking for a fun, social night out, Dance MDR offers a warm, inclusive atmosphere and an unforgettable way to celebrate community at one of the marina’s most scenic spot.

If you’d rather bring your own food, you can enjoy a picnic or barbecue at Burton Chace Park, which offers a limited number of public picnic tables and grills available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Getting There, Parking & Accessibility

• Public parking lots nearby the park; rates typically $7–$10.
• The park and shuttles are wheelchair accessible.

Public Transportation:
Take the LA Metro's C Line (formerly Green Line) to the Marina del Rey Station and catch the Culver City Bus #1 to the Marina.

Accessibility:
Burton Chace Park is accessible, with wheelchair-friendly pathways, viewing areas, and restroom facilities. Accessible parking spaces are available in all public lots.

Rideshare: For safety, rideshare drivers should not stop or park illegally to pick up or drop off passengers. Plan ahead and be ready to walk a short distance to or from your rideshare spot.
